About the Creator

Welcome to the Words to Pages Estimator! My name is James, and as a current college student, I know firsthand the stress that goes into writing academic papers.

There is nothing quite like the feeling of staring at a screen late at night, exhausted from researching and writing, only to start panicking over the formatting. We have all been there: trying to figure out if a 1,500-word draft is actually going to meet the professor’s strict five-page minimum once it is dropped into Times New Roman, 12-point font, with one-inch margins and double spacing. The guesswork is incredibly frustrating when your grade is on the line.

I realized that a lot of students were struggling with this exact same problem, wasting valuable time trying to do the math on their word counts instead of focusing on their actual essays. I wanted to find a way to help others bypass that headache entirely.

That is why I created this tool. The goal is simple: to provide a fast, reliable, and completely free way to convert your word counts into accurate page estimates based on standard academic guidelines. Whether you are writing a quick discussion post or a massive final research paper, this calculator is here to take the guesswork out of your formatting.

Focus on your writing. Let the estimator handle the math.
